The Think Wood Mobile Tour is a beautiful and compelling museum-quality display that showcases the environmental and economic benefits of different softwood lumber and engineered wood products and their many uses in both residential and commercial construction. The traveling exhibit features a variety of interactive elements, props, and models, telling the wood story from the forest to the market. The tour is provided in partnership by the Softwood Lumber Board, U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities, the APA – Engineered Wood Association, and endorsed by the National Building Museum. |

This tour features Montana aerospace industry success stories all in one venue. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear how these companies that work in the exciting world of aerial attack firefighting and precision laser sensing technology navigate the challenges of doing business based in the Pacific Northwest heading into a post-COVID business climate. Firefighting aircraft will be on display (pending the availability of aircraft) as well as other displays of equipment and products.
The bus will depart Big Sky Resort at 8:30am, and when the tour concludes will drop attendees off at the airport by Noon, with an optional return trip to the resort. Featured Presenters: |

Bridger Aerospace (BA) was officially established in 2014 as a specialist in aerial wildfire solutions, delivering unique firefighting solutions to the U.S. government and individual States. In seven short years, BA has since come to own the largest fleet of the $30million SuperScooper water-bombing aircraft by a private U.S. company. Visit NorthWestern’s Energy’s Madison Hydroelectric Project on the beautiful Madison River. See an early 1900s hydro project while the original turbine generators are being replaced by brand new state of the art turbine generators. This is a chance to see the 257-foot long, 38-foot high concrete embankment dam and the turn of the century powerhouse and learn how through collaboration with the resource agencies, NorthWestern operates to support one of the country’s best known blue ribbon trout streams. On the return trip, we will also visit O’Dell Spring Creek, the 2018 Restoration Project of the Year (Society for Ecological Restoration Northwest’s Chapter) where, through partnerships with the landowners, resource agencies, and NorthWestern Energy, 14 miles of stream and over 815 acres of wetlands have been restored.
