LEHI Frequently Asked Questions

Who is my sponsoring organization?
The Legislative Energy Horizon Institute is sponsored by a consortium of organizations. Each sponsoring organization nominates participants, and helps to process registration, accommodations, and travel for their participants.  Sponsoring organizations are: Pacific NorthWest Economic Region Foundation (PNWER), National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), National Governors Association (NGA), Women in Government (WIG), and the Energy Council.

Do I need to attend both LEHI sessions?
Yes. LEHI takes part in two sessions in Richland, WA, and Washington, D.C. Attendance and full participation at both sessions is required to graduate from the program.

What if I am from Canada or a non-US citizen?
You are still eligible to apply for LEHI. LEHI is focused on North American energy system. You will be required to have a valid passport, and might be required to submit special security forms for security purposes at the host venues and possible tours of energy facilities and infrastructure.

What if I am a sponsor, speaker, or staffer?
All sponsors, speakers, or staffers attending the sessions are required to register. Please contact Nate Weigel at [email protected] to register.

How do I get reimbursed for travel expenses covered through travel scholarships?

Reimbursement forms and instructions will be provided to the cohort following the completion of each class session.

Who do I contact with more questions?
Contact Nate Weigel, LEHI Program Manager, PNWER, at [email protected] with more questions.
