POLICY TOURS

Learn first-hand the key issues and innovative industries in our region by participating on policy tours in the greater area.

Attendees must be registered for a tour in order to attend. Please register in advance or onsite at the registration desk, pending availability. Waitlists will be made available onsite for any tours that are full in advance. 

Disclaimer: Space is limited on policy tours and may be prioritized for PNWER board members and legislative attendees. PNWER reserves the right to adjust participation as needed.​

Modern Hydrogen

​NW Natural and Modern Hydrogen invites you to visit a pilot project featuring Modern Hydrogen's methane pyrolysis unit. The unit captures solid carbon and produces clean hydrogen from natural gas, which is introduced into NW Natural's low-pressure distribution system.

Port of Portland

Join a tour of the Port of Portland's dry bulk and potash facility at Terminal 5 — home to Canpotex’s Portland potash facility, which recently expanded to boost capacity to a total of 7.5 million metric tons of potash per year.

The tour will also feature Union Pacific rail service upgrades at Terminal 6.

BNSF Vancouver Rail Yard

​Attendees will tour the BNSF Vancouver rail yard facility and visit the Amtrak station located at the working rail yard.

The Vancouver rail yard is one of twelve major railyard facilities in the state of Washington, where BNSF owns over 1300 route miles.
