LEHI Frequently Asked Questions

Who is my sponsoring organization?
The Legislative Energy Horizon Institute is sponsored by a consortium of organizations. Each sponsoring organization nominates participants, and helps to process registration, accommodations, and travel for their participants.  Sponsoring organizations are: Pacific NorthWest Economic Region Foundation (PNWER), National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL), American Public Power Association (APPA), and the Energy Council.

Do I need to attend both LEHI sessions?
UPDATE: Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, LEHI is now being held in a single extended session Nov. 18-22 in Washington, D.C. You are only required to attend this single session.

What travel facts sheet do I use?
Each sponsoring organization has a unique travel fact sheet detailing reimbursement requirements. Factsheets can be downloaded from this page. Please inquire if you are not sure who your sponsoring organization is.

What if I am from Canada or a non-US citizen?
You are still eligible to apply for LEHI. You will be required to have a valid passport, and might be required to submit special security forms.

What if I am a sponsor, speaker, or staffer?
All sponsors, speakers, or staffers attending the sessions are required to register. Please contact Nate Weigel at nate.weigel@pnwer.org to register.
