About Us - Overview

PNWER’s Energy Storage Coalition (ESC) is committed to expanding the role of energy storage in a more affordable, clean, and reliable electric power system. PNWER’S ESC’s members are a public-private partnership representing the regions diverse mix of energy storage technology manufacturers, renewable energy manufacturers/developers, utilities and policy makers.


Our Mission

PNWER’S ESC is committed to the rapid expansion of energy storage technologies to promote a more reliable and secure electric system.

Recent Achievements

PNWER’S ESC goals:

  • PNWER’S ESC will be a clearing house for energy storage practitioners to share information on technologies and projects in the PNWER regions.
  • PNWER’S ESC will be review and recommends best public policy practices at growing the energy storage sector in the Pacific Northwest.
  • PNWER’S ESC will form a working group to meet with the regions regulators to break down barriers to energy storage technologies.
  • PNWER’S ESC will serve as a platform for discussion of a variety of storage issues in the PNWER region during two face to face meetings and two webinar meetings per year.
  • PNWER’S ESC will share a common collaborative mission and be self supported solely by the contributions and coordinated activities of its members.
