Report on Previously Identified Issues This session will provide the background for the facilitated industry work session that is to follow. Several issues that emerged in the Idaho – Canada summit held in Boise in January will be updated, and other issues will be prioritized.

Facilitated Industry Working Session: This will be a two hour facilitated session for industry representatives from both sides of the border. Issues will be discussed and efforts will be made at reaching consensus on action steps to address current irritants. Government officials (both state, provincial, and federal) are encouraged to participate, as well as legislators. Other Cross-Border Cattle Issues will be identified. Some may include:
- Reciprocal Brand Inspection Agreements
- Movement of slaughter beef
- Consistent and reliable statistics
- Meat labeling
- Exchange rates and their effect on prices
- Support levels
