US Citizen clearance form- Must be submitted by June 30

Tour: Join us on a day trip to Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and the unique Craters of the Moon National Monument. INL is the U.S. Department of Energy’s lead laboratory for nuclear energy research. On the tour, you will see Experimental Breeder Reactor-I (EBR-I) – a National Historic Landmark where usable electricity was first generated from nuclear energy in 1951; and the Advanced Test Reactor –  a working nuclear reactor that is the nation’s most powerful and versatile materials test reactor. Craters of the Moon National Monument, often described as a "weird and scenic landscape,” is a vast ocean of lava flows with scattered islands of cinder cones and sagebrush.

Agenda:

7:30 a.m.         Depart Boise Centre on the Grove in INL buses

10:30 a.m.       Arrive at Craters of the Moon National Monument http://www.nps.gov/crmo

11:30 a.m.       Serve boxed lunches in Craters picnic area

12:00 p.m.       Board buses and depart for Experimental Breeder Reactor-1, Idaho National Laboratory

12:45 p.m.       Tour EBR-1 (Group 1); Tour Advanced Test Reactor (Group 2)

2:30 p.m.         Tour Advanced Test Reactor (Group 1)Tour EBR-1 (Group 2);

4:00 p.m.         Board bus and return to Boise

5:30 p.m.         Catered dinner at Picabo, ID Country Store

6:30 p.m.         Board buses and return to Boise

9:00 p.m.         Return to Centre on the Grove
