Attractions

Stevenson, on the Columbia River, is surrounded by terrific hiking destinations, beautiful waterfalls, cross country skiing and snowshoeing paths, golf courses, wineries, and other great activities. A few of the most popular Columbia River Gorge sites include:

Multnomah Falls

Located on the Oregon side of the Gorge, approximately a 15 minute drive from Skamania Lodge, Multnomah falls in the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States (620 feet from top to bottom!) The waterfall can be enjoyed from the visitors center at its base; Benson Footbridge which crosses over the second tier of the waterfall and is a short and easy uphill walk from the base; or, if you're up for a hike, from a platform located at the top of the falls which offers beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge.

Bonneville Dam

Bonneville Dam spans the Columbia River, providing energy for the Bonneville Power Administration. The dam features a fish ladder, and a visitors center which tells about the history of the dam and the Columbia River Gorge--how it came to be, the animals, and the native peoples.

Walking Man Brewing

Stevenson's award winning brewery is just two miles from Skamania Lodge and features beers for every taste. A terrific way to celebrate the culture of fine micro-brews shared by Oregon and Washington.
