Tunnels of Moose Jaw Tour Sat. Nov 7 12pm - 5pm
|
The city of Moose Jaw is only a 40-minute drive from Regina, but visitors to the Tunnels of Moose Jaw are transported back in time. There are two unique underground experiences: “The Chicago Connection” explores Moose Jaw’s role in the illegal liquor trade during the Prohibition era, and legend has it, even Al Capone was no stranger to the city. “Passage to Fortune” tells the story of Chinese immigrants to Canada in the late 19th century. Both experiences feature guides in character, superb sets within the tunnel matrix, multimedia, animatronics and special effects.

Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Calgary Stampeders CFL Match Sat. Nov 7 6:00pm
|
A Saskatchewan Roughriders home game is something every visitor to Saskatchewan should experience. The fans of the “Green and White” are the most passionate of any in the Canadian Football League (yes, those guys are really wearing helmets carved out of watermelon), and Mosaic Stadium is THE place to be in the province on gameday. Experience the best that three-down football has to offer. (A note to our American visitors: That’s right, only three downs. Oh, and the field is 110 yards long) Bring something GREEN to wear.
When: Saturday, November 7th
Game starts: 6:00pm
Tickets are available for purchase in the online registration at www.regonline.com/2009_winter_meeting |
